I’m Karl Burke, Creative Director & Principle Partner.
Sanders Design is a multi-disciplinary design agency founded over 35 years ago by Alan Sanders. With this history comes experience gained from working with a range of clients and small to large scale companies or organisations. Alan withdrew as a partner in 2009 (and subsequently retired), I've remained committed to delivering originality, design excellence and building relationships.
My journey at Sanders began in 2000 as a senior designer/creative director, becoming a partner in 2006. I’ve been involved with the design industry for over 30 years and had to opportunity to work on many national and international brands while based in Auckland, London, Christchurch and Northland. I’ve worked with great clients and designers on fantastic projects winning design awards and gaining ‘Professional’ recognition from The Designers Institute of New Zealand. Since 2014, after taking ownership, I’ve had the role of Creative Director, Design Lead and Consultant.
With this history comes a proven track record backed up by international and local design awards. We work with a range of clients from niche brands to large companies. We deliver considered and engaging design and focus on creating work that resonates with audiences.

Karl Burke
Director
Karl joined the company in 2000 and became a partner at Sanders Design in 2006 after working as a senior designer / creative director. Karl has been involved with the design industry for 25 years and has worked on many national and international brands while based in Auckland, London and Christchurch.
